What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a simpler, more personal approach to healthcare. Instead of relying on insurance for routine primary care, patients pay a straightforward monthly membership fee directly to their healthcare provider. This allows for longer visits, easier communication, and more personalized care—without the barriers and rushed appointments often associated with traditional healthcare.
With DPC, your primary care provider gets to know you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis or a chart. Membership may include routine visits, preventive care, chronic condition management, same- or next-day appointments, and convenient communication with your care team.
The goal is simple: better access, stronger relationships, and healthcare that puts you first.
Is DPC insurance?
No. Direct Primary Care is not health insurance. Instead, you pay a simple monthly membership directly to Cornerstone for your primary care.
There are no copays, no deductibles, and no insurance company in the middle of your relationship with your provider.
We still recommend having health insurance for things outside primary care—such as hospitalization, surgery, specialists, or emergencies.
Think of DPC as your everyday healthcare home, while insurance is there for the big, unexpected things.
Why choose DPC?
People deserve to be known, heard, and cared for rather than rushed through a healthcare system. We strive to treat every patient with the same compassion, honesty, and respect you would want for your own family.
