Cornerstone Family Medicine was created with a simple belief: healthcare should feel personal again.

We believe you deserve to be heard, the freedom to ask questions, and a healthcare provider who knows you as a person—not just a name on a schedule.

Our purpose is to bring back the kind of care many of us remember—unhurried, compassionate, honest, and rooted in relationship—while still providing the convenience and accessibility of modern medicine.

Old fashioned compassion in a modern world.

Meet Sarah Verburg, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC

Sarah has cared for patients in family and internal medicine since 2002. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department in Chicago, and then West Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois, graduating in 1995, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, graduating in 2002.

For more than three decades, Sarah has cared for patients of all ages. She believes healthcare should be built on kindness, compassion, trust, and meaningful relationships - not driven by corporations, insurance companies or government mandates. Her passion is helping patients understand their options and empowering them to choose the path that best fits their own values and goals, through shared decision making.

Cornerstone Family Medicine was created to bring back the personal relationship between provider and patient. Sarah considers it a privilege and an honor to care for individuals and families throughout every stage of life.

If you wish to get away from Corporate Medicine, where you feel like a number, instead of an individual… or you wish to get away from Insurance mandating what you can and cannot do, we would welcome you to Cornerstone Family Medicine, Direct Primary Care.
